Suddenly getting error message: "Unable to Save your preferences. Please Try Again"?

I am suddenly getting the above error message when I click on news stories show in My Yahoo. I never had this problem in over 5 years of using My Yahoo. Why am I suddenly seeing this error message? It also shows up again if I refresh the page. It does not appear when I click on non-Yahoo content on my home page, e.g. NY Times.

I believe it is some sort of virus that has appeared in the last couple of days.  It does not seem to be harmful.  Just a little annoying.  Look close at the error message and you will notice that preferences is spelled wrong.  This is a dead give away that it is a virus.  If you will delete all your temporary internet files, cookies, etc. it will go away. (click on Tools, Internet Options, Delete Browsing History).
