Suddenly went off!

Question

have a 'phillips magnavox smart plus' series 32 inch. about 6 or so years old. perfect picture and sound then BAM! nothing. any suggestions? just time for a new tv? tried unplugging and reseting, but nothing. everything else connected to the same surge protector works and i've tried to switch out the plugs to make sure it wasn't a bad connection.
