Suegioo in the limelight of the Thirsk Racecourse Christmas Party Nights £29.95 Handicap
The undisputed favourite entry for the first division of the Thirsk Racecourse Christmas Party Nights £29.95 Handicap is the three-year-old chestnut colt, Suegioo. The 6 to 4 entry has gained form through the four career starts and missed the last challenge by a highly negligible margin that has boosted his chances of success for the race today.
During the short four months, the French colt has raced with three different jockeys at Newmarket.
The £4,205 prize money has attracted nine other contenders for the mile and four furlong distance at Thirsk on Tuesday, 18th September.
Out of the four career outings, the Marco Botti trained has scored second in two, and third in the remaining.
He missed the Chassis Cab DAF 30th Anniversary Maiden Stakes Division I on 17th May, 2012 at Newmarket over a mile and two furlongs. The race was won by the favourite entry, Anomaly, who had Silvestre De Sousa onboard.
Manduro’s colt has his next stop in the poptelecom.co.uk International Saver Maiden Stakes on 22nd June, 2012 at Newmarket over a mile and two furlongs.
Suegioo finished third after the leading pair, Proofreader and Awake My Soul.
The Scuderia Rencati Srl owned lost on the pace of the race three furlongs out, tried keeping up with the pair in the following furlong but failed to match the pace or impact the finishing of either the winner or the runner-up.
The chestnut colt out of, Mantesera, then failed for a third time on 27th July, 2012 to clear the maiden and even this time the jockey changed for a straight third time, Mirco Demuro.
Missing the maiden thrice got over shadowed by his impressive performance in the handicap debut. The three-year-old French chestnut colt missed the race by the neck’s margin as Angel Gabrial won while riding with jockey, Ian Williams.
Suegioo has strengthened his performance during the past two outings with Mirco Demuro onboard. For today’s challenge too, the three-year-old gets to race in the capable hands of the same jockey.
He will have to keep tabs at the level of competition while racing after taking off from the third stall.
