  1. you should really see a vet! poor kitty! hurry!!!

  2. The only thing you can do now is take it to the nearest vet as soon as possible.

  3. Take it to the vet.Was it born from the sick mother? if it was,it probobly caught the mothers sickness.sometimes a kitten just has go,i have never seen a suffering animal,so the only things that you might have to do is,let it sleep, let it go,or take it to the vet.

  4. If the vet said to put it to sleep then I would listen. A vet would not tell you to do that if they could save it.  They took an oath.  Do not be selfish.  Sometimes the hardest part of loving something is being able to let go for their own good.  And this kitty sounds pretty darn sick.

    Prayers be with you all.

  5. Yes, even if you just go to walmart they have special kitten bottles and formula. It will at most cost you $10 and help feed a hungry baby. If she looks in critical condition try taking her to the vets, it is the best thing to do.

  6. If you bring it to the vet and have a means of affording the costs involved in keeping the kitten alive, then by all means do it! But otherwise you can only wait and let nature have it's way with it, it may survive of it's own, but you shouldn't be holding it as much as you should be ensuring it's near it's mother and it's siblings.

  7. If the vet said its time, it's time. He/She's probly suffering, and if there is nothing they can do, then i think it would be best to just let him go. It's okay it happens. I'm shore you wouldn't want to be put through the misery of gasping for air and dying. You have to let he/she go. It's okay

  8. They make formula in most super markets that help puppies through this very same situation when they are not strong enough to feed for themselves through the teats of their mother, so perhaps they make the same thing for a puppy.

  9. Get off the computer and get on the phone to a vet.  If your vet is closed, there will be a recorded message giving you the phone number of the nearest emergency vet.

    Good Luck!

  10. We can't help the kitten.  You have to get it to a vet now if it's going to live.

  11. Take him or her to the vet!  Stop wasting time on the net!  Geesh!!

  12. OMG ask the vet this is so sad I'm seriously crying!

  13. Take it to the vet.

But if it dies it dies.  Laws of nature, you'll just have to accept it.

And I'm not cruel, I love cats and animals... but it happens. Sorry.

But get off Yahoo too- Don't ask us to save your cat. Take it to the vet ASAP

  14. rush to vet immediatly or call vet immdiatly something is very rong obviously i wouldnt wait to get an answer just call and or rush to vets office. there has to b something the vet can do if not call another vet. look in the phone book for other vets i know there is somthing they can do? ill pray for u and ur kitten. best iof luck. may god b with u?

  15. A good vet will suggest euthanasia only if he/she knows death is inevitable and there are no other reasonable options. If you think your vet is responsible and professional, and he/she is telling you that the kitten should be put to sleep, then there is a reason. Vets don't usually run around trying to kill every animal that has a case of the sniffles. I'm sorry to say that, as a cat lover, but your options are either to have the kitten euthanized, go to a different vet for a second opinion, or hold out hope that it will pull through and if not let it suffer and die on its own. Good luck to you and your kitten, and I am sorry you have to go through this, but it happens.

  16. Call your vet immediately.  If they are not in go an to the Humane Society, they will help you.

  17. If you're so worried for its life, please take it to the vet IMMEDIATELY!

  18. It sounds like asthma. The cat may have asthma and if he does you need to take him to the vet and get him checked out before he has an attack and dies. If you can't take him to a vet, surroender him to a local animal shelter, and tell them what may be the problem. Act quickly because it can be something very serious and could be fatal.

  19. Im really sorry but it sounds like its dying.Call a vet and see what they say anyway.Good luck with the kitty!

  20. ASK A VET!!!!!

  21. GET IT TO THE VET FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  22. omg take the kitten to a vet, it cannot ask you to do it......it's suffering

  23. Take it to a pet store and ask them for help if you can't afford a vet, but a vet would be better.

  24. By the sounds of it it will be dead soon. That gasping is usually a sign death is imminent, in any animal.

I know you don't want the kitten to die, but you have to think of it, not yourself. Take it to the vet so its suffering can end. The poor little thing is only a day old and it's already suffering, don't let it go right to the end.

I think you better go now because from your description the little thing might not even make it to the vet's, and natural death is not usually pleasant and obviously isn't going to be for this kitten.

Please also get the females spayed so this sort of thing cannot happen again. There are enough kittens and adult cats in the shelters.
