  1. Sugar Ray would wear out the Hitman, and KO him in the 7th round.  I feel that Sugar Ray's era would be his strength and could take what Hearn's is dealing.

  2. Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest boxer pound for Pound. Therefore he would destroy Thomas Hearns. This fight will only go four rounds. with 30 second left in the fourth Sugar Ray drops Hearns with a combination a left hook and a right cross.

Boxing was fun with Sugar Ray Robinson

  3. This would have been a very exciting fight with a lot of action and drama while it lasted.  Sugar Ray Robinson is arguably the greatest fighter to ever put on a pair of boxing gloves and was at his true prime when he was a welterwweight.  He had great boxing ability, stamina, great footwork, and power in either hand.  He was also very tough having lost only one fight by technical knockout in 200 fights! that being to Joey Maxim for the light heavyweight title in which he sucumbed to heat exhaustion in a fight he was clearly winning in the 14th round.  His record up to that point was an astounding 130-3-2.  Thomas Hearns had that great height and leverage as a welterweight, possessing a great jab and a pole axe for a right hand.  I'll never forget the way he devastated the so called iron chinned Pipino Cuevas.  This fight would be a fierce one with both men boxing very well using their jabs effectively with Robinson showing the better ring movement.  Robinson would also prove to be the faster of the two during the exchanges.  I believe this fight would be very close for 7 rounds when Robinson suddenly unloads a brutal combination of punches against The Hitman and sends him to the canvas.  Hearns gets to his feet but is on rubbery legs as Robinson looks to finish the job.  With Hearns trapped on the ropes and Robinson firing away, the refereee mercifully halts the contest with Robinson the winner by 8th round technical knockout.  Good question sir.

  4. Like Hagler-Hearns, with the same result. Both throw bombs early and Hearns is KO'd at 2:20 of round three....this will not be the sweet science, but a sweet match for those who savor a toe-to-toe throw down.

  5. sugar ray was the greatest fighter of all time, hearns wasn;t in the same league as robinson, ray won 175 fights how many did hearns win, ray by a ko in round 4
