Sugar Ray Leonard and Thomas The Hitman Hearns?

Why the h**l did these two men never have a third fight.

It is obvious to many that Hearns won the 2nd fight and was SCREWED by the judges, who gave it as a draw.

I think they didn't have a third fight because Leonard didn't want to get his block knocked off.

you're right, hearns won the rematch, and was well ahead in their 1st encounter when leonard rallied and kayoed the hitman.

even leonard admitted that as far as he was concerned, they were 1-1 now........so as to why there was no rubber match, it has probably to do with leonard picking and choosing his opponents, and wanted nothing to do with hearns again.

The reason Ray  and Thomas never had a rematch is because the only chance Ray had of winning was if they fought at a lower weight and neither fighter could make a lower weight and THE HIT MAN was a much better fighter at a higher weight and that is why Ray did not want a rematch Hearns was the naturally bigger man

Hearns did win the 2nd match. If was any other fighter they would had given it to Hearns. I could not stand Sugar Ray and more so after his several comebacks. I am glad that Norris beat him down and he knew he was in a fight afterwards.

i remember that fight they were both past their primes in the rematch no dought hearns won it and got screwed happened alot of times in leonard fights leonard also had a habit of not giving fighters that gave him a tough time rematches
