Sugar question??

What happens if you have brown sugar but it is not firmly packed? will this make any difference on my recipe?

  1. firmly packed refers to how you smush it down into the measuring device you use. If you do not pack it, then you will be putting less than the required amount into your recipe, and it will definitely affect your recipe. It will make it less soft and chewy in the case of a cookie.   2. yes there will be less sugar, therefore less sweet.

  3. a sugar is a sugar, it will always taste sweet, what will affect your recipe is the amount of sugar you put in it. try putting little by litle of the sugar until you come up with the desired sweetness you prefer.

  4. no it wont it will taste da same and it will look normal wen u mix it in with your recipe
