Best computer to buy is one that is custom made (and preferably by yourself). Only if you make it yourself will you get the "best" computer you can buy.

Try to stay clear of "off the shelf" computers (e.g., Dell and HP), as the "any size that fits" configurations are made for everyone, not you, which means those types of PCs are average performers. Apple/Macs have a loyal following but Mac parts are terribly expensive, and they prefer that the computer is serviced at one of their dealers, which means more $$$.

Hmm if u wanna desktop, i like the dell hybrid i think its called, its so tiny for a desktop, and if u wanna pay a lil more buy an apple computer i luv appple computers i highly recommend then 4 both pc and noteboks.  :p

Definitely buy an Apple/Mac product.  I highly recommend the MacBook Pro, it's not a desktop but it's one of the best laptops I've ever worked on.  Besides, laptops are better than desktops anyway.  At least in my opinion. :]
