  1. Redbreast is one of only two Pure Potstill whiskeys available on general release. The other one is called Green Spot. It is available at the Celtic Whiskey Shop on Dawson Street and Mitchell and Sons on Kildare Street in Dublin. It's a lovely whiskey and I'd recommend that.

Also, the standard Redbreast is a 12-year-old. But there's a special release of a 15-year-old that is very very good. It is around the €100 mark, though, while the Green Spot is about €40.

Other than that, the Jameson 12, Jameson 18 and Jameson Gold Reserve all have a lot of pure pot still whiskey in them and are also very good.

  2. Any good Irish Whisky

  3. depends on what you want to spend. Jameson 12yo should be about the same price and is smooth and tasty, Redbreast is a Jameson Product BTW

In the same price range are a number of Scotch Whisky's, blended and single malt. You could look for Tomintoul 16yo or Oak Cross from Compass Box whisky, i have found both to be smooth, not overpowering and fairly priced

    Good Luck
