Suggest an experiment that would show whether one type of food was better than another at helping a animal to grow faster

I don't know but it seems to be an easy matter for me to demonstrate the effect of specific food on growth.

You can do it at home with any domestic animal like a small cat ( better a tiny kitten) or a small dog.( better a newly bought puppy)

You can take two types of food to feed, for example a home made food by youself at home and a ready-made food from your authorised pet shop.

First, you can feed it  for 30 days with home made food and note down how it is growing in terms of length and and weight. You should note down the observation in a chart after a week for at least one month. not longer.

Then deliberately you need to change the food with readymade food and do the same observation and note down the figures in the chart.

Doubtlessly, the food you bought will be with all necessary food values and would be more nutritive and you will get better result during the second month observation.

YOU CAN CARRY OUT the observation with two pets simaltanously but having taken the similar parameters in terms of length and size as well as duration of experiment.

It means you have two pets, two different food and the observation period is the same.

To conclude the experiment observation, you can write about the better food composition in the readymade shop-bought food. You can mention that that food contained minerals, salts and vitamins needed for the proper growth in your final report.

The experiment can be carried out also with a  tiny hamster because its growth is easily noticable within a very short period of time and the specimen is easy to handle at home.
