i am 24, and getting sick of not finding decent jobs, only jobs u get offered is call centre. i been applyin to graduate jobs for last 2 years, and i think its to move on.

i done business infor systems degree and got 2.1, i been applying continuously for last 2 year for graduate scheme, either IT or business jus so i can reach management for long term career with decent experience. those assessment centre, physcometric test are so hard.

now i wish to change career, i considered nursing, teaching, taking a law degree.

with nursing, i dont have good stomach.

teaching, wont able to handle naughty kids, will make me nuts.

law - i dont have a levels or decent GCSE.

i feel its useless doing masters as many peeps who do it still struggle to find decent jobs. not only graduate but its hard to find non graduate jobs.

throw me some ideas please!

  1. yes I do sympathise with you. My sis has 2 degrees and a masters and I barely finished school.  yet my salary has always been double that of hers.

Sometimes you need to go that extra mile to get jobs, you need to be out there making useful contacts and make it known what your future plans are.  Do you have any friends in your chosen field that could help you out.  In many cases its who you know.

If you have a company in mind that you would like to work for you may need to go in at the bottom, and work your way up.  good luck

  2. Go to this website.  It lists occupations by growth, so you can find jobs (probably some you never would have thought of before) that are growing - which means many companies would be hiring.

    Good luck on your search!
