  1. why not contact the Red Cross.. the Mormon church practice storing bulk foods >>>???

    WHY ??

Can you guarantee it will reach the destination>>???

I would rather send money to a religious group in the area the NGO or what ever

  2. you can use Tupperware products.

  3. i would buy one of those vacuum seal thingys and either jar them and seal or put in baggies. as long as you get all the air out they will be ok

  4. cant these items be frozen?

  5. If your talking about large quantities 50 gal. barrels with clamp down lids would be the way to go in my book. You could also place the grain in 50 gal. plastic bags inside the barrels that would preclude any moisture from the grain. There will most likely be grain moth eggs in the grain sealing it in plastic with as much air as you can remove will help to r****d the hatching and growth of the moth larvae .

  6. first of all take care of moisture....use antimoisture products....As far as storage on the ground, or on floors is concerned, the grain is less exposed to risk if it is placed on wattle mats or the like laid on the ground or floor. Drying floors could be improved by making them of concrete; or by stabilising the earth chemically or with natural material such as néré juice...........To prevent the translocation of moisture through the floor to the grain, a plastic sheet should be placed upon it first ..........The room should be rodent proofed as far as possible (including wire mesh screens fitted to windows), and the grain should be treated with insecticide...............room should be cleaned, to remove any residual insect infestation..................Open timber platforms may be improved by fitted rodent barriers around the supporting posts.......To protect them against termites, posts should be coated with bitumen or used engine oil, or superficially charred after having the bark removed. Alternatively, since termites do not attack fresh, healthy wood, green wood which will sprout and grow may be used as poles................

and just take a look at this may be this will help you...
