  1. Not much help for the other but was in Bangkok in June so here goes...

Check out the Grand Palace; Wat Inthrawihan also has a giant standing statue of Buddha (not that time consuming).

If your not staying on the Khaosan Road in Bangkok then at least go check it out. Backpackers central & quiet a spectical. The Jim Thompson House might also be cool for some culture.

The MBK shopping centre is great for bargains as are the night bazaars Suan Lum Night Bazaar is great, with a massive food court with live bands nightly.

The Emporium and Siam Paragon are also good.

Have fun & hope this helps.

  2. bkk   -  shoppers  paradise   (  chatuchak  market  ,MBK  ,pratunam  mkt)

can  go  fr  a canal  ride  and  a visit  to  the  tigr  temple  is  wrth  it

phuket   -  can  go  to  patong  fr  night  life

  3. I live in Phuket and I suggest the highlight in Phuket.  You have 5 nights stay at Patong.

    1. Visit Patong Beach, Kata, Karon and in evening go to Phuket Simon Cabaret  From USD 19 at Patong

    2. Phang Nga Eco Tour The Ideal Cruise (Fullday)  From USD 48

3.Travel around Phuket island and in evening go to Phuket Fantasea  From USD 48

4.Phi Phi Island Tour (Full Day)  From USD 37

5.Shopping at Phuket Town and Patong

For more information abot Tour please visit...http://allhoteltravel.com/day-trip

  4. When in Bangkok, do NOT take the Limousine taxi from Suvra... airport to downtown(you will be accosted by these people as soon as you get through customs and immigration; also, they charge 1 1/2 times the fare of a regular taxi without any extra luxury; just be sure to insist the driver pushes the meter).

You can take a TukTuk(3-wheeled motorcycle) for 20 Baht per trip, but they will not take you to where YOU want to go, but instead drive to some shops with which they have kick-back arrangements. The same goes for guards at the Emerald Palace, who have such arrangements with TukTuk drivers. You will be accosted by them everywhere in Bangkok and Udon Thani.

If you stay in the Nana area of Bangkok(cheap hotels), where the nightlife is, you will be accosted by underage boys looking for money in exchange for s*x, by ladyboys(q***r crossdressers) and by prostitutes.

Tips: Do NOT go elephant trekking in Ayuthaya or anywhere else; the Thais will try to extort you by asking a certain amount as "tip" for the elephants.

Do NOT go on any tour arranged in Thailand. The price of admission at the gate will be at least 300 Baht more than what you were quoted from information staff.

Do NOT attend ANY party with friends thrown for you , as they will take all the food, but try to stick YOU with the bill for the entire party.

If you HAVE to take a tour, make sure you arrange it in your hometown if possible. You will save lots of money by doing so.

Do NOT take a river cruise. It is like taking a cruise through a sewage pipel, dirty and smelly.

  5. in Bangkok, don't miss:

-Grand Palace & nearby Wat Po where you can see giant gold reclining buddha

-Chinatown (Chinese food are great! excellent for shopping)

-and further more shopping in Siam Paragon, MBK, Gaysorn Plaza, Lumpini Park and local markets

    - restaurants along the chaopraya river

Samui is one of the diver's haven. The warm, tropical waters and beautiful coral reefs off the island make it perfect for scuba diving. Go on the full day speedboat trip to Koh Ang Thong Marine Park. I enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking and trekking to emerald lake (amazing!). Ang Thong was the place that inspired the film The Beach and is paradise on earth. For ur accommodation, I strongly recommend Muang Samui Spa Resort http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Hotels...

The location was perfect with all shopping, bars and restaurants at your doorstep, and provided a tranquil and dreamy escape from the day-to-day world. It is also set on a more beautiful stretch of beach. The rooms themselves were large, stylish, clean and had all the special touches. The resort is well maintained, is filled with beautiful greenery, little bridges and a creek running thru it. We found that the staff were always friendly and attentitive. The breakfasts were also sensational.

    Have a nice trip.
