Suggestions and help for a holiday abroad for a group of 18/19 year olds?

Me and my friends would love to go on a holiday abroad after we have finished our A Levels. We want to go somewhere that has a good nightlife, but a lot of people have told us that places like magaluf have a bad reputation (maybe someone could assure me that it's not as bad as i've heard!). We also want somewhere that has decent things to do in the day and a little bit of culture (not just row after row of english restaurants and english pubs). My family are part portugese and so the majority of my holidays abroad are in an area that is not marketed for tourism, so i have no idea of which places are suitable for young tourists to go to! Help!

They have some amazing tours. and it is geared towards that exact age group. it's not a normal bus tour.  I haven't heard a single complaint about them.  You get to see europe at such a great price, see things you wouldn't even think of normally. it's just amazing.  They have things all over the world too (I know i mentioned europe but they do have others).  Check it out.
