Suggestions for New York Hotels?

I am planning on taking my boyfriend to New York for his 21st birthday. I have never been before and was wondering if anyone would recommend a nice, but not too too pricey hotel in or around the Time Square area. Thanks so much!

I'm looking at the same thing right now.

Seems that from the weekend of September 6th the prices almost double for the rest of the month - OUCH!

Looked at the pod (thanks) - bit pricey for me...

Good luck finding somewhere...
