  1. Why not use it as the middle name?

  2. Bryan

    Ryder

    Rylan

    Byron

    Miron

p.s. good for your husband - he has the right idea.

  3. What about Aryn?

It's an anagram of Ryan, and it can be a boy's or a girl's name.

  4. Rhianna for a girl is really pretty.  Would he consider Ryan as a middle name if you have a son?

  5. I must agree with your husband. Children are their own person and should have their own name. I would never name my child after someone the father or me know or are related to. Middle name, okay, but first, no.

For a boy, I'm not really sure.

Try www.babynames.com. It is REALLY helpful.

I would also suggest looking into the meaning of the name Ryan, which is said to be "King". On the name website, you can search other names that mean King. So maybe if it's not a name similar to Ryan, you can still honor the name Ryan/your husband :)

http://www.babynames.com/Names/search.ph... < you can search it under meanings here

  17. I know a girl named Ryanne, and I've also seen Rhiann.

Rhys (reece) for a boy is also nice.
