  1. If you like Indian food I highly recommend Cafe Shafali on Dalhousie.  The Keg is pretty good too and there's a new Lonestar restaurant that opened up on the market recently. Oh and Giovanni restaurant on Preston is awesome. Happy birthday!

  2. Mother Tucker's in the Market: the birthday girl/boy eats free.

  3. I would definately look into little Italy, there are some really good restaurants there

  4. http://www.restaurantthing.com/

Search for "fine dining" on the former -- if you like that sort of thing...?

"Tucker's Marketplace" gives you a free feed on your birthday if not.

The best Mexican is Ahora, but it's not much for atmosphere. Best Chinese is Ging Sing, and it's a nice enough place, but not overwhelmingly so. The East India Company is good food in a good place, if you like Indian. They're quite nice in dealing with birthday parties, too.

Al's Steak House on Elgin does a decent job.

Pub Italia is a nice place to stop in after your main meal.

  5. the livery tavern

  6. Big Daddy's Crab Shack & Oyster Bar

    Two Great Locations!!

    339 Elgin Street (613) 569-5200

    780 Baseline Road (613) 228-7011

    Web Site: www.bigdaddys.ca

Enjoy the lively New Orleans atmosphere and sample some of the best seafood in the city-fresh oysters, live lobsters, king crab, blackened gator and catfish- as well as pasta dishes and steaks. Outdoor patios at both locations. Open daily for dinner; lunch from Monday to Friday. If you like seafood then you'll love Big Daddy's! Take a look at our web site for complete menus for each location and virtual tours.
