So, Im doing online schooling and we are also having a baby. Im looking to work at least part time, and ideally at home. I dont want to go into any scams or anything like that. I love the real estate business, but that could be hard to start doing. Ive also seen people hiring travel agents, but who knows how that is. I saw one job for a mortgage loan officer and work at home with given clients. Not sure about that one either...does anyone here have any tips?

  1. I'm a stay at home mom of a 4-month old, and I've been making money for the past 3-months working for a company called Ameriplan. I have tried many other "work at home" companies which were complete scams - from sending out mailers to data entry - I've tried it all!

This company is fully legitimate! You can visit http://www.freedomathometeam.com/getfree... and click on "Request an Interview" to be considered for hire.

You can also call (800) 814-2983 and listen to a recorded message about Ameriplan. If you don't want to sit through the message, you can just hit "0" and leave your name & number for a representative to get back to you.

Good luck & hope this helps!!

  3. Hello,

My name is Melinda and I have had a successful home business for a while now. I decided to get together with my self-employed friends and family and create a free website to help others start their own business (and avoid scams). During my research I found the following sites specifically for work at home moms and dads:

    1. Freelance mom - a support network for women working from home. They can help you to locate freelance work from home jobs. Their warm and supportive community is rich with home business ideas and internet marketing strategies to support you and help you to make smart decisions from choosing your business to promoting it.

    2. Hire my Mom - their goal is to connect Mom Professionals, with a variety of backgrounds, to small and large businesses looking to outsource projects and jobs of all types. (Examples include: administrative, writing, graphic design, accounting, bookkeeping, customer service, marketing, public relations, programming, web design, coaching, sales, desktop publishing, payroll, human resources, database development, medical billing, etc.)

    3. HBWM - provides its members with support, networking, free advertising options, information, a monthly (print) newsletter, email discussion list, searchable member directory, member spotlights and corporate discounts on various products and services. (They do not provide jobs.)

    4. Mom's Cafe - provides access to their article archive and their featured articles that discuss home based businesses, advertising, marketing, networking, and other resources. They have also included various career kits to help you get started on your home business.

    Also - our site is:

Great Home Based Businesses and we have specific pages on:

    - Hundred's of Great Ideas for Home Based Businesses by Category

    - Resources for Selling from Home

    - Resources for Providing Services from your Home

    - Avoiding Scams

    - Kit businesses such as Pampered Chef

and a lot of other pointers.

PLEASE NOTE: we do not have a business or product that we want to sell you - our site is all about providing information.

In the real estate area off the top of my head I would think: A. Real estate marketing advisor - helps real estate agents/developers to market their properties,

    B. Home stager - decorating and arranging house to make them more appealing to buyers,

    C. Real estate feature sheet creater - feature sheets are pages (8.5" x 11" up to 11" x 17") that real estate agents use to sell properties - they have pictures of the property and its keying selling features and all the key details and stats. for the house,

    D. Cleaner for the real estate office or the houses up for sale,

    E. Christmas or other occassion decorating for houses up for sale.

    F. Real estate photographer.

If you have some training in real estate then maybe:

    G. Real estate agent - requires a test and license most places,

    H. Real estate advisor,

    I. Real estate appraisor, and

    J. Home inspector.

As for kit businesses like Pampered chef etc... - we have a page dedicated to these businesses on our site but the short answer is that: these businesses are ideal for people who do not have the time (stay-at-home parents) or comfort to leap into self-employment without a well established business concept and support system. These kits provide everything from products to sell - to marketing material - to business forms - to advice. HOWEVER you need to be comfortable selling and hitting up your friends and family and complete strangers to buy items directly from you. You also need to stage alot of "home parties" in order to make any money with the low margins alot of these companies provide. People who are successful with these businesses earn their money by recruiting alot of other people into their "sales teams". If you are comfortable with this then these businesses can be great.

My key pieces of advice in picking your business:

    1. Do what you know and love.

    2. Follow your instincts.

    3. Figure out how to provide value to your clients.

    4. Talk to successful home business owners that you know and trust.

    5. Whatever you do - try not to limit yourself to one income source - one of the best ways to grow your small business is to open yourself up to other income streams. If you start a catering business maybe you could also teach cooking classes in your house, or if you start house cleaning business then you could also stage houses for sale. This approach has been invaluable to me - allowing me to get through slowdowns in my "core" business.

    6. Accept that "get rich quick" schemes only work for 1 in every million people and generally require illegal activity - instead try to build a lasting business that will continually pay you a reasonable amount.

Anyhow - that's my two cents - Good luck with your business - I'm sure if you do your homework you'll be very successful!!

  4. You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years

  5. http://ecommerce-times.blogspot.com

  6. I work for Melaluca and it is starting to work for me and at the same time I am turning my home Green. I have also sold Avon and Mary Kay. If you want more information send me an email. Good luck in what ever you choose.

  7. Have you tried blogging, it is free to start? I pay over a thousand a month to bloggers to blog about my company. Most make $5-$10 starting out per post. Once you are credible and get a higher PR website some bloggers make $20+ per post. I use PayperPost. Also listing a legit business opportunity I am involved with below.

I am a titanium powerseller on Ebay to give you a little background so you know I am legit and know what I am talking about. There is a new business opportunity that just started a couple of months ago but has been in the works for over 3 years. It works with Ebay so you know it is legit. Ebay is a multi Billion dollar business and you now have the opportunity to be apart of that. Doesn't cost much like a lot of home businesses only $29 per month. You earn up to $35 per new customer and up to 75% in commissions from Ebay just by giving out Free software. When they use the software your Ebay affiliate ID is embedded in the software and you get the commission - 100% of it. Plus 5 more ways to make money. http://www.mymarketinggenie.com/ultimate...

I see this as being one of the next big home businesses since it is one of the first that uses Ebay. Most home businesses only last a couple of years but with the backing of Ebay I don't see how anyone wouldn't join this opportunity. I am already doing well making more money than the $29 so already in profit. I am a titanium powerseller so I let everyone know about the new free software and then I get paid anytime they buy something from Ebay even if it isn't from me. Here is the free software so you can check it out: http://www.myshoppinggenie.com/ultimatep...

Amazon and Overstock have now heard about the MyShoppingGenie and are working on an affiliate program just so they can be apart of this too.  Now can you start too see the power, technology, income potential with MyShoppingGenie - Ebay, Amazon, and Overstock does?
