Thought I'd let someone else 'think' for me. haha. My daughter doesn't like meat so very much. And we're tired of spaghetti. The only thing she really eats as far as meat goes are hotdogs.

I have 2 kids a 6 yr old and a 3 yr old. Was hoping for something that's easy for them to eat.

Thank you for your help.

  1. Frankfurters Flambe

Basically a saute of frankfurters, onions, mushrooms, a splash of applejack brandy. Set it on fire (whoosh!)

Maybe that's a little too much fun...yeah...shouldn't let ME think for you.

  2. baked chicken;

    Fish And Pine Nuts;

  3. does chicken work?

because theres this thing called ranch chicken

    it is delicious

    its little pieces of chicken

and then carrots peas and noodles

all stirred up with a ranch dressing sauce

    yummy :)

  4. It is a real problem what to feed the little ones every day, some how i feel we as parents have lost the war,to the big corporations, with their billions of dollars worth of advertising they are shaping the taste buds of our children.

It is our turn to fight back and protect our children and it is not difficult.

Meat has to be cooked well for kids to like.

Try a nice veal with pasta casserole, here is the recipe.

Why veal? It's tender when cooked properly and low in fat and it's not red meat.

    Veal cut in chunks

    olive oil

    1 onion sliced

    1 garlic clove crushed

    1/2 cup red wine

    1 cup prepared tomato sauce

    1 cup tomato juice

    salt+pepper to taste

    1 Cinnamon stick

In cooking pan add olive oil and saute meat with onion and garlic for 5 min. in med. heat, deglaze with the wine and add the rest of the ingredients and water to cover meat, cook until tender,45-60 min.

If you have a pressure cooker this procedure will take 20 min.

At this point place meat and sauce in an casserole pan add 6 cups hot water and 2 cups orzo (100% semolina) adjust salt and pepper and bake for 25_30 min.stirring occasionally. Serve with grated cheese.

Here is the idea,if the kids don't like the meat, at least they will have the nutrients of the meat in the orzo and slowly this way you try to make little changes so they grow up appreciating good food.

  5. Some suggestions:

    Pasta dishes

    Garden salads

    Fried rice

    Toasted sandwiches

    Pasta/potato salads

Stuffed potatoes (Baked potatoes, cut a cross  into the top of the potatoand top with your choice of beans/beetroot/pineapple/ham/sourcream/o...

    Stir fries

Lasagne (a favourite with most kids, and you can make it vegetarian if your children refuse to eat meat)

    Soups (pumpkin, tomato, vegetable)

    Vegetable pies

Home made pizza (puff pastry/pita bread, spread with tomato/bbq sauce, or tomato paste, top with your fav toppings, pineapple, mushroom, tomato, onion, green veges etc and cover with grated cheese - bake til cooked)

    Lentil burgers

You can also do baked/boiled vegetables with meat, but just cook enough meat for whoever wants the meat and the children just have the vegetables.

  6. Ravioli's? Stuffed tortellini?

  7. Sometimes my mom would make pancake and eggs for dinner which was sort of fun

Also, you could make mac and cheese w/ hot dogs

You could make salad for some reason kids love ranch dressing and salads w/ grilled cheese sandwiches and maybe a soup ~ tomato or minestrone

cheese raviolli w/ some peas or a salad and applesauce or pudding

  8. There are lots of things that she will prob like liek pizza etc

  9. fruit pies

  10. Chicken skewers.  My kids love those.  Mine also love good old corned beef.  The meat is soft and easy to chew.
