  1. I don't know how long you have to purchase your dress, but going to a Salon with a close family member or friend is a good suggestion to get an idea of what you will want.  Of course, how large your wedding is going to be, what venue, what spiritual persuasion, etc, etc, etc all plays a part.  I have a service that I provide with my Horse/Carriage business when I do weddings.  I have a variety of dresses, from formal with 15ft trains to Goth and everything in between, so the bride can afford the carriage and all she has to do is have the gown professionally cleaned and if anything needs mended, she is also responsible for that as well.

You know where I got these beautiful wedding gowns?  EBAY, and most of them are new or like new...You can get a gown that original sold for over $5000 for sometimes less than $100 or $200, I'm serious..so, just know that this is an option.  Yes, I am speaking of well known wedding gown designers...lots of them are run way samples and have never been worn in a wedding.  Good luck.

  2. It really depends on your tastes, your venue and the type of wedding you plan on having. We need more info, hon.

  3. although I would love to go on and on about the perfect wedding dress.... it would be my idea of the perfect dress not yours... this is a very personal choice, go to a bridal salon and look at examples then choose for yourself, take a few close friends and family with you for opinions and moral support.... but please dont go with some strangers vote on yahoo answers... that would cheapen the choice.
