My town is having a parade that all of the kids can join in, the theme is "Stepping out of the book with storybook characters". They give prizes for the best costumes.

I have 3 children - boy 5 yrs, girl 6 yrs, boy 7 yrs. does anyone have suggestions for costumes? Seperately or some themes that they can all 3 dress up and go together as? (ie little red riding hood + big bad wolf + third LRR character)

Thanks for any suggestions!

    3littel pigs

  2. hitler, stalin and george bush

3 famous presidents, they'll get patriotic points

    the beatles

  3. Well, there's always the Wizard of Oz. Might be kind of trite though.

Or Alice in Wonderland. Mad Hatter, March Hare, White Rabbit, Dormouse, Cheshire Cat. . .

Or Winnie the Pooh. Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo . . .

Or Wind in the Willows. Mmmm, those guys might be hard.

Pippi Longstocking would be a fun one for your daughter.

    Aesops Fables ?

Peter Pan is good. The older boy could be Capt. Hook, the girl could be Wendy and the little one could be Peter. People would love it!

Wow, this is way harder than I thought it would be! I think of good books but then the costumes wouldn't be much, or else the costumes are really hard, or the books are too old for your kids. Like Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher. That'd be easy but I don't know if it's right, you know?

I'm sure you'll come up with something and they'll have fun, which is the main thing, after all! Good luck!

  4. The pea from princess and the pea, Winnie the Pooh characters.
