Question:

Suggestions for the beginner hydroponics gardener

I would like to start a Hydroponics garden, I need simple suggestions for building one that is not expensive or requires a lot of engineering (this will be a project for my children and I together) I would like it to be something that we can do indoors, and need to know what I can and can't grow ( such as cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, squash that type of thing). How is it that these plants won't get root rot? Do you have any experience using the methods that you suggest?

  1. I can only suggest you either google or go into Encarta for this one.

    Good luck. h

  2. Hydroponics is a bit more complex than can be easily explained here, but try the following link. http://www.hydroponics.com/gardens/index...

I have never tried hydroponics. Here is a link that shows how to do it yourself at home, inexpensively.  http://www.ehow.com/how_2091307_build-sm...

Whether you are successful or not at hydroponic gardening, it should prove to be a fun project to do with your children, and quite fulfilling.

    Happy Gardening!
