Suggestions for tours while in Costa Rica?

I will be going to Costa Rica, to Guanacaste Provice on Playa Panama this winter. Staying at the Hilton Papagayo, use to be called Fiesta Premier. I've been trying to research tours and there are so many. Has anyone been to this area and been on any tours. Specifically, we're looking for canopy tour, horseback riding, rainforest/waterfall hike, surfing for beginner to intermidiate and see wildlife. Of course I'm not trying to get all of this in one tour. I have seen horseback riding and canopy tour lumped together. This would be for one adult and 11 & 14 year olds. Any suggestions would be great. I have books and checked the web but there's so much info.

  1. If you have six months, you won't see and do it all.  Heaven on Earth.  Do the horseback tour for sure.

  2. That's where we are going in April!!! We booked already the Canopy Tour in Guanacaste. I do not have an email but a Costa Rican phone no# 506-257-3529 (Catours)

We also will do the Volcano & Hot Springs tour and the Manuel Antonia National Park Tour, but for those tours we will stay at a diff. hotel.  Have fun!

  3. Horseback ride to Nauyaca Waterfalls is absolutely awesome...all day ride includes all meals & swim at the falls, perfect experience for even non-horse enthusiast~ They are online simply type a search once you pull up Costa Rica...go to dominical.biz  Great start~

We are leaving now for Uvita,Costa Rica [Uvita.biz] & will return Feb 6th, or I would take more time giving more detail...but must go~ Have a great time...Concentrate on the South Pacific side if you can; Dominical to Drakes Bay is well worth a beginning trip...But as one posted below , you need lot's of time to really explore ALL the beautiful country has to offer~ Pura~Vida~
