Suggestions for trip destination?

I am planning on a week-10 days trip to get away from North America at the end of Feb. I love Europe and Asia but given that I have been to both places recently, I would like to venture out a bit more. I would like a place that has nice weather and great cultural scene. I also would like this to be a single's trip and I am not looking into finding romance. Ideally, I just want some space to think and explore and see things differently before heading for medical school. I speak English, French and Chinese. Since I am a girl, I guess going somewhere relatively less male-centered or couple-fitted would be a great choice. I am looking forward to your suggestions.

Ten days is not very long, and you don't want to spend three or four of them just getting to and from your destination.

I would suggest Canada but since you want nice weather at the end of February, better to go south. Lots of nice choices in the Carribbean and Mexico. If you wanted to do more culture than relaxation, then Guadalajara is nice.  Costa Rica might work too.  It really depends how you want to spend your time......

Well I would strongly suggest New Zealand keeping in mind your requirements and needs
