Suggestions in Vale of Glamorgan, Wales...

I'm going to the vale of glamorgan this weekend....could anyone suggest some beautiful places to visit? I like walking in the countryside.

  1. Id say go to beaches, cardiff bay, ogmore, cowbridge, sully island, you could visit penarth and barry too. Theres the knap in barry which has a lovely pebble beach, barry island, cosmeston. Search google :) or go on www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk/enjoying/visi...  


  2. I live in the vale of glamorgan (in Barry) and it's a beautiful county and quite large. There are many things to do and see here, we have lovely coastlines and a visit to some of our many beaches is well worth it. If you want some cheap and cheerful fun then go to Barry island (although it's not what it used to be) theres' also the cold knap in Barry with it's lake and pebbly beach. Porthkerry country park is in Barry and has some lovely walks. You could visit Cowbridge (about 8 miles from Barry) this is a quaint little town with lots of boutiques and coffee shops and you have Llantwit Major which isn't too far from there. If you're not from South wales then I definitely suggest a visit to Cardiff and the bay.
