Question:

Suggestions on Baby Bottles?

I am bottle shopping and I am trying to decide which brand to go with. I would love to hear anyones suggestions. With my first child I used Avent but now with the BPA scare I would rather be safe than sorry and go with the BPA free. Also, with my first child I tried out the Playtex Nursers and the "8oz" bottles would only hold 6 oz? Did anyone else notice that or was it just me? Because I would like a bottle system that has a bottle which actually holds 8oz. Thanks!!

  1. it depends on your baby of whether or not he/she will like wide mouth bottles/nipples or standard size. my son will only take wide mouth ones.  for wide mouth try the SASSY MAM bottles, they have airvents in the bottom. my son loves those. they sell them at Babies R Us store and on the Target website. I suggest getting them off the target website (or they have them on Amazon where they arent backordered like Target) because those bottles in the "boy" or "girl" colors the measurements are real easy to read and they do it in 1/2 ounces as well, the ones at Babies R Us do not. They are, of course, BPA free as well! I use those and the Playtex Nursers (and have found the same thing as you with the nursers- and my son cant get everything out of those)

  2. I personally LOVE the Dr Brown bottles.  You can get them BPA free too.

  3. I'm not sure if you know but Avent is coming out with a BPA free line of bottles. If you liked Avent bottles, you can still use them now.

  4. I've been storing up with those AIRVENT bottles with the curve neck.  A lot of my mommy friends use those bottles and I have heard NOTHING BUT GREAT THINGS ABOUT THEM!  so I'm going to be using those when my lil one is born.

  5. I really love the soothie line.

  6. I believe it's Evenflo that has 8oz glass baby bottles - they're super durable, very hard to break (hundreds of times dropped on any surface, 1 time broken on gravel/concrete chucks....), can fit regular nipples, and as a plus, no BPA.  :)

  7. avent dose have new BPA free bottle in both reusable and disposable with drop in liners that are really 8 zo.  plus playtex also has and expandable liner that will hold 8 oz.  I used the old playtex with my first and I hated the fact that I couldn't make an 8 oz bottle.

here is a link to a list of BPA free bottles
