So I guess I am having to buy a new laptop. I have more expenses than income these next 2 months, so I need a CHEAP one! (I'm expecting around $500, is that right?)
I was planning on going to Best Buy, because then I can buy gift cards from Giant Eagle and get fuelperks. And I think buying from Wal-Mart isn't smart.
I HATE Windows Vista and it just slows the computer down to the point where I can literally bake a cake by the time it loads up. Is it possible to get Windows XP and not Vista, these days? I just use email, AIM, picture uploading, and regular internet things. I don't do any gaming, picture edits or videos on it.
So my questions are:
Is Wal-Mart a crappy place to buy a laptop? (I HATE Wal-Mart, btw)
What brand is good for what I described? (I had Dell before and I loved it. My bf has Acer with Windows Vista and it's slower than grass growing.)
Can I find one without Windows Vista?
