Suggestions on a panasonic digital camcorder?

i was interested to buy a panasonic digital camcorder, can someone please tell me if with 10x optical zoom and 3.1 mega pixel would give me a great picture?

I had my company buy the Panasonic pvgs320 which is a 3CCD mini-dv camcorder and it takes excellent videos and has gotten excellent reviews all over the internet. They're on sale now at Circuit City for $380. Maybe even cheaper on ebay.

The picture/video quality would depend on which model/price level/features etc...

You can look up reviews for some of the Panasonic models for the particular model and you're interested in.
