Suggestions on decorating my room?

I'm working on redecorating my room at the moment, because my room isn't ME and I hate it, it's all bright, with lavender walls, and I wanted to decorate my room in a fun way, that says me. I'm gonna be repainting, getting a new bedspread, just changing everything in my room. Well, about me, I'm fifteen, and I love music. It's my life. My favorite band is Evanescence, and would love to have lots of Evanescence related things in my room, like posters and stuff like that. I also like band like Korn, Three Days Grace, Flyleaf, Paramore, Within Temptation, Lacuna Coil etc...My mom doesn't want to go too dark, but I also don't wanna go too light, so something that'd satisfy both me and my parents. They also don't want it looking too gothic like I'd want it to be, but I still want my room to look like it belongs to me. I'm trying not to sound to picky...But I need suggestions, like any good websites, and color suggestions. Thanks for any help I can get!

Well,I personally like the colours dark purple or dark orange paired with white.if you like those bands,maybe get some wall stickers and put them up.good luck!

Put up alot of posters and if you can find any print some out and put them on your ceiling so when your in bed you can look at then. Put a few on your walls and if they have t-shirts you can pin one or two of them up! Lets see...You can make like music notes out of some very hard cardboard and tape them to your wall so it could look very music like!

I think a red would suit you pretty well.Then you could add blackish posters, accessories, etc. to it and it would look really cool.
