I'm looking for a photography camera that is good quality, digital, cheap, (for the requirements i'm asking) and has various lens attachments. Also when you want to print pictures from the camera what is the best way to do that? So they look more professional and such. Suggestions please! Thanks (:

  1. Cheap and professional usually don't go together in the same question.

There are a couple of things you need to clarify.  First, what do you consider cheap?  A $99 point and shoot is cheap.  A $500 digital SLR is "cheap"  What do you mean by "lens attachments"?  Do you mean different lenses, thereby going to a DLSR, a point and shoot that has filters and closeup attachments?  Printing from the camera?  Do you want to hook your camera directly to a printer, or take the memory card and download to a computer and process and print your own?  You can also upload your digital images to professional processing labs for a premium price.

Is there any difference between film and digital cameras?  Yes there are, but, if you're asking these questions, you won't see the difference.  Add the cost of shooting and developing film into the cost of a camera and remove the ability to instantly look at your images and I would not even recommend looking at a film (regular) camera.

As far picking a camera, first, decide how much you're willing to spend on a camera and accessories (lenses, filters, flash etc).  Add 10% to that to allow some flexibility in choices.  Then go to a camera store, not a Wal-mart or Best Buy type place.  They can answer your questions about photography beyond what is printed on their displays.  Handle all of the cameras in your price range.  Get a feel of how easy the controls are to reach and operate.  Don't worry yet what they do, just how they feel in your hands.  Narrow it down to a couple of choices.  Then, go home and research your choices for the capabilities you want.  Then hunt for the best price on that camera.

  2. Nikon D40 6mp Digital SLR is a good camera for your needs, It cost around 400-500 dollar for just the body. The Nikon D40x 10mp SLR and the Nikon D60 10mp SLR  are also good too.

If your looking for used camera, craigslist has people selling there used things near or where you live.
