Question:

Suggestions on roadtrip with my 2 kiddos, 1 - 9wk old?

My husband and I are driving to Atlanta (usually an 8hr drive) for a family reunion with my 2.5yr old boy and my 9 week old little girl. She is breast fed and he is potty trained so I think I will feed her when we have to stop to pee. Any suggestions? My son should be asleep at least 1/2 the time because we will be through the night - his bed time is at 9 and we will be leaving at 6. Id just like to make it as simple a trip as possible. My daughter already sleeps about 4hrs at a time through the night before feeding and going to sleep again.

THANKS FOR ANY NICE SUGGESTIONS!

  1. Usually I buy new toys from the dollar store and save them for the trip. Make sure they are well fed and rested before going on the trip. Music is good or a portable DVD player to see a movie or so.. If it is at night you should not have a problem. Good luck.

  2. Ever see Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?

  3. Well, being in the car soothes most babies, so I don't think you'll have a problem with that.

Also, try getting a tape maybe for your car player that has songs that your 2.5 year-old might know. Like his favorite TV shows.
