I came across an investment opportunity that offers: 24% returns per annum for a unit investment of 10000$ for a term of 10 years. There is a counter guarantee offered for the money in fixed asset form. The Asset is in a high development zone and is expected to appreciate significantly. In any case, the asset will triple the investment in 10 years. All documents are provided and endosed by various authorities. What do you say?

  1. Sounds good.

  2. Sounds like a scam, most likely a Ponzi scheme.

  3. Yes ! It sounds quite good. But, make sure everything ig genuine . But for a retur it is good !

  4. Good opportunity to invest in if you are provided with all legal documents and is attested by the government seal.

I would suggest you to go for the deal only if you have fulfilled the following things:

    1. Make sure of all the documents is legal and is signed by the authorities.

    2. Assess the correct value of Fixed asset and confirm it by various real-estate dealers.

    3. Try to find the history of the asset like if it is previously sold to anybody etc. Confirm the ownership of the asset.

    4. Investigate the company with whom you are dealing.

If you find above points satisfactory then please go ahead with the deal.

    Have a Prosperous Deal!!!!!

  5. In investing or just handling money in general, there are a few truths that are always true.

And one of those is that RISK and REWARD are directly connected, always.

Anyone offering high return and low risk (as in the guarantee) are lying about one or the other.

As said, why pay you 24% if it is not a scam when they could borrow at 7%?

  6. 24% returns is too good to be true . collateral given is  good but check the possiblities of  recovery if something goes wrong .

eample - if i had a property which cannot be sold due to issues like goverment aqusition or family dispute , i will try to raise money using this property . in the end you will have a tough time trying to recover your money .

like one of the answers given ..... why should they offer you 24% when they can get a loan for something like 13- 19 % ?

if  you still want to go ahead , take a copy of the land deed and see a banker/ lawyer / real estate person  and ask him if this can be used to secure a loan. if they dont see anything wrong then its ok.

  7. I say.... give ME the money:)

  8. Run away - no reputable firm - particularly in the market environment at present - would even consider offering such a "guarantee".

  9. Why pay you 24% when they can go to a bank and pay 7%?

  10. On the face of it, the offer is highly lucrative for an ordinary investor's point of view but wrapped deceptively. The entity taking the investment money can't be fool to offer the kind of returns just like that. Try reading and understanding "that" which is not being told on the face of it by having the documents and authorisations vetted by the independent professionals in the business - if at all you wish to go ahead with the proposal. Assess to what an extent you can have "direct" and "independent" control over the asset being offered as a guarantee!!

  12. If it's too good to be true, chances are, it is.

This is a scam. Don't invest in it.

  13. If its a genuine company then you can give it a try.

But i will suggest pls dont play blind with grid, 10000$ is a big amount to play with.

research, and make sure that the entity and asset will be there after 10 years. Do not trust anybody blindly... afterall its your hard earned money
