Suggestions to improve public toilets in India.?

Maybe something can be done to make life easier and hygienic for the people and the tourists...any innovative practical ideas?

I think people should be paid to pee.

A person who is paid a decent wage who is proud of his/her job and doesn't have to rely on hand outs from the public. A train/bus/airport or municipal council, who does not treat these workers like second class citezens working for a pittence selling toilet paper to the tourist. whether you use toilet paper, jug and water, is irrelevant, all any decent human being needs is hand washing facilities i.e soap, and a hot dryer for your hands. a small nominal fee to those who can afford it. should cover this cost.

in the philippines we have little potties on the road, all covered up and painted in pink haha. but this is for guys only.

can privatise the maintenance of the toilets, with strict service levels.  plus charge people for usage and also use the space on the walls for hoardings / advt that can also fund the upkeep
