  1. It would probably burn your hair but the rest of you would be quickly cooked with thousands of volts passing thru your body. It would be excruciatingly painful for a short time. I imagine people have tried to get lightning to hit them so they would die. You cannot force lightning to strike though.

  2. I doubt any one tried to suicide that way. First, its quite hard to make it hit it when you want it to, not practical since you have to wait til it rains, and even so it might not hit you... Second, if it fails to kill you, which many times it actually does not kill the person, it will damage you a lot, eardrums, skin, etc. But yes a direct often kills the person really fast, but sometimes it doesnt depending on the voltage.

In my opinion, not worth trying to suicide that way.

  3. Lol i don't think that is possible as you don't know when and where it is going to hit.

  4. It's too unpredictable and unreliable.

There was a girl in our county who got his a few years ago. She had bad burns and other problems that made her repeat the school year.

I've also read about a forest ranger who has been hit at least 6 or 7 times and survived every hit.
