is it normal to have a high suicide rate in police department parking lot? I ask because a Sub Dallas Police Department has had its 3rd suicide in 3 years. Just wondering if I was missing something or if we as a public may need to keep an eye out....

  1. I don't think suicide anywhere is normal! xox

  2. no

  3. There are a higher number of suicides in most jail facilities than say in supermarkets or malls most are suspect but who really cares because most people would say "well they made their choices to be criminals" so we choose to look the other way with regards to police crimes on criminals for that reason.

It is a well known fact that rape occurs in prisons and jails why is that so acceptable? ALL police need to do their jobs properly which includes protecting the guilty criminal if need be.

  4. no.

  5. Thats crazy, but uncommon. Most suicides occur within the jail. My agency actually had 3 suicides in the last 8 years. Thats alot since my department is quite small and the pop. is about 15000. I have actually never heard of the parking lot thing though. I guess it happens.

  6. 3 suicides in 3 years, thats not a lot.

  7. I'm not sure if it's normal or not but a police dapartment parking lot sounds like a good place to me for a number of reasons.

    1. Then the cops can find the body in a hurry so it won't rot.

    2. Then you can leave a note on you somewhere for the cops to find.

    3. It will give the cops something to talk about then that way you haven't been completely forgotten by everyone.

    4. A police station is a good place to be just in case you want to confess your sins intead of taking your own life.

  8. Are they truly suicides. It bears looking into. Most police are for you but there are some renegades.

  9. I don't think it's normal, no. Statistically, sucide rates are the highest in white males under the age of 65. The stereotype is, that white males typically hold law abiding jobs like law enforcement and politics, by which I can only assume that the pressure is very great. That might account for the recent stages of suicide at the Dallas Police Department's parking lot, of all places.... =(
