Hi, recently i got a marine nano tank (orca tl-450) and I have never kept marine fish before but i have kept tropical and coldwater. Could somebody please give me a list of the kinda stuff i can put in my tank (i think it's 58 litres) that are good for beginners. I like unusual stuff so it's not a problem if it looks weird, and could you include stuff apart from fish like invertebrates and things.

Thanks a lot =]

  1. not a whole lot.. maybe just 2 kinda small fish

something like a goby and a clownfish or gramma or damsel or dottyback would be a good pairing..

all the fish i mentioned are hardy and easy to care for..

for inverts you could have something like this:

    5-6 blue leg hermit crabs

    9-10 atreas snails

1-2 sally lightfoot or emerald crab

    and 1-2 cleaner shrimp

i wouldn't suggest coral to a begginer.. so im not going to

if you have any other questions please feel free to email me

  2. Weird unusual stuff generally requires extensive knowledge on maintaining marine water parameters.

I wasn't familiar with your tank, but found these links which might be useful:

As for Nano animals, there aren't too many, entirely skip the idea of any Tangs, Surgeonfish, Angelfish, Eels, Puffers and Mandarins. Forget Starfish and Sea Urchins and definitely no Anemones.

I suggest joining a forum such as this:

And talk to people who have nanos (and even picos) and experience with stocking them.
