The former Sunderland midfielder suffered from a cruciate ligament injury in his left leg while on holiday; however, the midfielder is confident of a speedy return.
In what has been deemed as one of the most bizarre injuries to have taken place, Muntari suffered from an injury while playing football on the beach with his friends. Milan were less than pleased by the injury picked up by the Ghanaian, and representatives
of the club branded him as being careless.
There were even talks of the club deducting his salary for the amount of time he would be out due to his injury. The former Inter Milan midfielder underwent surgery during the last month and it was suggested that the midfielder would not be able to play
for the San Siro outfit for another six months.
Muntari had a torrid time at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan before his move to the Diavolo outfit; however, his fortunes changed when he moved to the Rossoneri outfit and he regained his lost form and confidence. Given the mass exodus that has taken place at the club, there
would have been more first team chances for the Ghanaian.
The possibility of starting more matches in the upcoming season seems to have driven the midfielder to work hard on his rehabilitation. Muntari is optimistic about his chances of making it back into the squad and he stated that he was highly motivated to
perform in the upcoming campaign.
He went on to state that he knew that there was a need to be patient and he did not feel like he would be out on the treatment table for a long time. He remarked that he wanted to be playing as soon as he could.
He remarked:
"I cannot wait to come back, everything is going well and even psychologically I am feeling good. I have to be patient but everything is going well with the doctors...”
He went on to state that he did not intend to get injured, especially this way, but remarked that unfortunate events happened in life and you have to move past them. He further stated that they must aim to win the Scudetto in the upcoming season.
