Sulley Muntari’s agent delighted with Napoli interest and open to a January move to Stadio San Paolo
The agent of Inter Milan midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sulley-Muntari-c34312, has insisted that his client will consider joining Napoli in the January transfer window.
The Ghanaian international was heavily linked with a move to Stadio San Paolo throughout the summer after he was released by Premier League outfit, Sunderland, after the 2010/11 season. Muntari is unsettled with lack of first team
football at the San Siro and is seeking a move away from the club since the summer.
Agent, Marco Odisio, has insisted that Napoli have not made an official enquiry about his client but he is extremely delighted to hear about their interest. Odisio added that his client has received a few offers from some European
clubs and he is evaluating those at the moment.
While talking to the reporters, Muntari said, “I’ve received nothing official up until now. However, it’s certainly nice to hear that a club like Napoli is interested in Muntari. He would certainly positively evaluate such a possibility.
At the moment the player is considering some foreign offers, where he wants to go and play, but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 would really be an important alternative.”
The agent revealed that the former Portsmouth star’s contract with the former Italian Champions will run out at the end of the 2011/12 season and a deal with Walter Mazzarri’s side could suit everyone.
“Muntari’s contract is running out at Inter and it would certainly suit Napoli to sign him on a permanent basis.” added the playmaker
The 27-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from the Premier League outfit in 2008 and after impressing in his early days at the club, the Ghanaian international has lost his first-team place of late.
He joined Steve Bruce’s Sunderland on-loan in the last season with an option to buy him permanently but the Black Cats rejected the offer. Muntari has made 63 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan thus far and has scored 6 goals too. The
midfielder has also made 62 appearances for his national team and has scored 18 goals for them.
