Third seed Sultan Mohammad of Sindh faced a major defeat at the hands of Mohammad Imran on the penultimate day of the round robin formatted group matches of the Jubilee Insurance Third National Ranking Snooker Championship at the Karachi Gymkhana Club in
Karachi, Pakistan. The clash was quite tough as both potters played tremendously from the beginning.
With some classy snooker display at the Karachi Gymkhana arena, Imran was able to beat the experienced Mohammad by the score line of 4-3. Sultan tried his best to unsettle his opponent grabbing handsome lead early in the match but Imran did not give him
any chance.
Imran clinched the opening frame by the score line of 64-38 firing some impressive small breaks to grab quick lead of one frame at 1-0. Mohammad bounced back brilliantly in the next three frames and won them by the score line of 20-75, 9-75 and 29-61 to
cruise into two-frame lead at 1-3. Imran was under a lot of pressure because Mohammad was in tremendous form.
