Summary of Economics A-LeveL?

Hi ive justed taken my A-Level choices (AS) and my 4 options consist of Geography, physics, maths and economics. The first 3 i have done for the previous 5 years but i have never done economics. Anyone who knows anythink about it or is currently taking it please give me a quick summary of what i will be expecting to do. By the way im from the uk (not sure if that makes a difference) Thanks.

  1. Hi there, I did Economics AS and a2 Level - OCR was my exam board. What exam board are u doing, because the content will differ. But in general, during my 1st year, I learnt the basics - Demand, Supply within market terms as well as Aggregate Demand and Supply (Supply & Demand in terms of the country as a whole). You also learn about things like inflation and the methods the government uses to intervene and reduce inflation(tendency for prices to rise), as well as taxation etc

    2nd year- I learnt about developing countries - why they are where they are today, what is being done, and what could be done to help etc

    I enjoyed it very much, as it helped me have a better understanding of what was going on and even more so now that we are in for economic "crisis".
