Summary of the Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 2011 – Part One
The recently concluded Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 tournament turned out to be a huge success for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a number of ways. The event was able to attract a lot of crowd and also sent a message to the cricketing world that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 has
the ability to organize successful tournaments.
The tournament was reduced down to eight best teams of the previous domestic T20 tournament in 2010. Sialkot Stallions, Faisalabad Wolves, Lahore Lions and Karachi Dolphins started the event as the favourite teams of the tournament. However, the T20 Cup
had a lot of surprises installed for the cricketing fans as some of the lesser ranked teams performed exceptionally well and Rawalpindi went on to win the tournament against all the odds.
From group A, majority of the cricket analysts were expecting Lahore and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sialkot-c842 to qualify for the semi-finals and as expected, there were no big upsets in that pool. However, same was not the case in group A, as one of the hot favourites of the event,
Faisalabad Wolves could not qualify for the semi-finals as they were beaten by Rawalpindi Rams and Karachi Dolphins.

Rawalpindi Rams

Karachi Dolphins
