The Tigers do not have any big names in their ranks apart from their captain and Test cricketer http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Multan-c819 did show some signs of improvement in the recently concluded
tournament. They defeated Karachi http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dolphins-c781 in a group match, when no cricket fan was giving them a chance.
Some of their youngsters have started to emerge in the scene of national cricket. The likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Naved-Yasin-c2081 have been performing well in domestic cricket and have been able to catch the eyes of the national selectors.
Hyderabad Hawks
Nobody was giving http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sialkot-c842 and Lahore as well.
Hyderabad’s left handed opener, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sharjeel-Khan-c89775 played an outstanding knock in their group match against the Stallions as he scored 74 runs off 41 balls, in which he struck five thundering fours and six massive hits out of the park. He seems to be a wonderful
talent and someone who can serve http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 cricket in the years to come. This is also a good sign for Hyderabad cricket as they have started to produce quality cricketers, which has not been the case in past.
Islamabad Leopards
They ended up at the bottom of the points table and the only team in the tournament which failed to gain a single point. This is an extremely disappointing performance by the Leopards, considering the fact that they have done exceedingly well in the domestic
cricket since last five years. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011 and his absence seems to have left a huge gap for Islamabad, which is not going to be easy to fill, especially because he has been an influential leader for them as well,
apart from a tearaway fast bowler.
They have some quality cricketers like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Syed-Imad-Wasim-c92287, however, all of them failed to make an impression in the Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 Cup 2011 and as a result, their team suffered.
Overall it was a brilliant tournament with some thrilling encounters and the icing on the cake was put in the final of the tournament, when the match went into the Super Over, after a tie. The tournament gained immense popularity all over the country and
it calls for PCB to organize more domestic matches which can turn out to be a source of entertainment for the people of Pakistan, who have been deprived of international cricket since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team in March 2009.
