Summer Expedition help please?

I want to go on the Academic Treks: Wilderness and Traditional Medicine in Belize, but my problem is that my mom says no. This trip means a lot to me and it will help me decide on what to be when I grow up. My dad wants me to take every opportunitythat would help me getting into college and this is a Community Service trip. Any advice?

I would say go for it, but...  How old are you?

Anyway, talk to your mother, get more information about the trip, see her point of view, maybe she can talk with the organizers.
