Question:

Summer International Airfares. Do they stay high?

I am starting to plan what I wanted to be a summer vacation to Ireland but I am finding that the ticket fares are all about $300 higher than the spring and fall. I have been checking the prices from March thru November. Do international fares always stay high for the summer months or can I expect them to go lower at some point. If they will stay high than I will wait to go in the fall.

  1. Summer is considered high season at most vacation spots. I'd definitely wait till middle of October to early November. I went around that time and the weather was pretty decent. HOWEVER, airfare is going up on weekly basis, even during low season, so I'm afraid to even look to see what it could possibly get up to for the summer! Good luck, though.

  3. They will stay high all summer when everybody is on the move.  In fact, you can rarely get a real break until around October, or even a bit later.
