Summer Moon Horse Trials?

Question

Is anyone going to the Summer Moon Horse Trials in Oregon House CA this July? Its my first time going(i went in May with my trainer, but i didnt ride) and im kinda nervous. Anyone have any advice?

I competed in the Summer Moon horse trials last July and placed 2nd ^.^
It's always nerve racking when you enter a show especially an eventing show (you know one that isn't just flat or jumper classes that are over quickly!)
But even though it's a bit small of a facility I really enjoyed myself there. We had great stabling (in the shade) perfectly good access to water, and we could see all the cross country runs. For advice for your nerves I would suggest (I don't know what level your going to do) but make sure to give yourself enough time in the warm up areanas. I would also suggest studs if your doing anything above Elementry level because sometimes the grass can get to be slick. But besides that just remember; it's a small(ish! :)schooling eventing show, go and have fun! enjoy yourself-if you like cross country you'll be happy at Eventful, their cross country courses are pretty sweet.

Good Luck! and remember; one of the easiest ways to do your best is to believe in yourself ( I know it sounds cheesy but it's true!) and just go to have a good time- thats what I did and I ended up 2nd last year! :-)
