Summer Nanny Ideas and Tips?

I will be nannying this summer and was wonderif anyone had tips or ideas of things we could do. There is 2 girls, 10 and 5, and 1 boy, 7. I will be doing it for 8-10 hours a day five days a week so i will need a lot of idas. And also should i set up a schedule with things such as 10:30-12 Play outside, or no... Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions?? Anything would be great!

  1. You can set up a schedule but be totally flexible and the summer will be fun.  It would be great if you had access to a pool.  Many libraries also have fun summer programs.

I think a schedule is a good idea.  Over the summer, my children and I swim, frequent the library, go on business tours (we like to tour, for example, a local snack food factory, that is open to the public.  It gives my children something interesting and educational to do.)  we've gone bowling, roller skating, and would frequent the community pond to have lunch, and feed the ducks.  You can take the kids to the zoo, the movies, play volleyball or soccer outside, the list goes on and on.  Just be creative and above all, try to find out in advance about the likes of each child.  Also, talk to their mom, she may have specific things she does or doesn't want them doing this summer.
