Summer Party Ideas, high school?

Question

Sooo. I was thinking about having a party for summer. I'm going to be a junior next year, so mostly 16 or 17 year olds would be there. I was thinking cheap, like the beach, but some people already went to a bonfire last week, so maybe a no to the beach. but maybe a park? I was also thinking like a potluck style thing where everyone has to bring something. Any suggestions?

can you say POOL PARTY? cook out. ribs, burgers, hotdogs, baked beans, potato salad, fried fish. the works. and if you drink, you gotta have a bar.

I would suggest having a back yard luau theme party. If someone has a pool that is even better but if not you can even reserve a spot at a community pool and decorate for the theme. I had one and I used palm tree leaves for decoration and it looked great and it was free. . . you can also plan a party at a skating rink. Everyone can pay their own entry. Create your own theme and have everyone dress the theme!

Another idea would be to play sports at a park and BBQ there inbetween games. You can do it during the week while it's not too busy. You can play softball, kick ball, flag football, and even have fun games like egg toss, potato sack race, water balloon toss, three legged race. . . all these are fun for guys and girls. Everyone can bring munchies to the park as well as blankets to chill out on.
