I want to have an awesome party for about 10-15 teenage girls at my house. The girls are ages 13-14. What are some really cool summer party ideas for a party. I want to have it in my backyard and probably from 6-11 at night. Personal experiences and stories would be great! Thanks!

Decorations:  The dollar tree dollar store has a whole line of party items for this theme including tropical and tiki themed items including plates, cups, platters, wall decorations, lights, leis, grass skirts, luau cd, limbo stick, etc. etc. etc.  Also, oriental trading has very, very cheap decorations and favors for this party:  http://www.orientaltrading.com/applicati...  Also cheap party website u.s. toy company and party cheap.

Have everyone wear hawaii clothes.  Give everyone a lei as they arrive.  Have grass skirts and practice hula.  Also fill yourr MP3 player or CD full of cool popular songs and hook up to a speaker system.

Have twister there, that is always fun.  Here is a cute game: http://www.orientaltrading.com/applicati...

I would reconsider and just have the party from 6-10.  I think that is enought time for you age and some parents will think 11 is too late.  I know I would.  Also, 4 hours is enough time to fill with activities.  If you are not cooking out I would order pizzas and have pop cuz kids always love that.  You could get all the stuff to make homemade sundaes with sprinkles and candies etc.  Or, you could make smores, those are always yummy.

Since it is all girls I would get some ring pops, candy necklaces, candy lipstick.

  2. Have room for seats

    Eat

    Laugh

    Talk!

Plan fun activities and games like TRUTH or DARE

Make sure it's not raining that day.

Invite your best of friends so you'll always have something to talk about.

    Have a barbecue.

    Serve soda.

Have a cake to celebrate the end of the school year.

    Chips

    Donuts

Hope your party will be fun.

  3. Have a bbq with hamburgers and hot dogs, with some toppings.  Lettuce, tomatoes, and ketchup for the burgers, and mustard and saurkrut for the hot dogs.  You can also do french fries.

You can also do a taco bar with the toppings.

You can have an ice cream bar with chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings.  Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries and have everyone make their own sundaes.  You can go to the dollar store and get those tall plastic sundae glasses or get those waffle cone bowls at the grocery store.

You can set up a volleyball net and play volleyball net and badmitten.

You can hang some clear, stringed, Christmas lights around the party area, it will add a cool party atmosphere instead of having blaring bright flood and spot lights, hang the  stringed Christmas lights all around the party area and have them on during the party for a cool party atmosphere.

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party!

  4. Just Have Things Like Karaoke, Music, Fizzy Drinks, Bbq And Funny Friends. My Party I Was Really Worried About Last Year. And It Turned Out Really Fun To Do Things That We Felt Like Doing At The Time

  5. Food, food, and more food makes a happy party.  You can pick up all types of foods at your supermarket's deli.  Go over there and talk to the deli manager, they will be a big help to you.

Use strong paper plates and throw away forks/knives/spoons.

Have ice filled ice chests with lots of different types of sodas in them.

Remember that you have neighbors, so keep the music down or you'll have the police at your door in no time at all!  :o)
