Summer Transfers: Parma keen to keep loaned Juventus players Amauri and Giovinco – Serie A Update
Parma FC are keen on holding onto the loaned striker Amauri for the upcoming 2011/12 season. The Italian came to the Stadio Ennio Tardini from the Turin giants, Juventus FC, in the January transfer window. In his 11 appearances for the outfit, he has scored
7 goals for the Crusaders.
The striker was supposed to return to Stadio Olimpico Torino by the end of the season, but owing much to his great consistency with the Gialloblu, the club will try to work out an offer for the hitman again in the upcoming transfer window in order to retain
his services on permanent basis. Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi, while talking to media in the aftermath of the 1-0 victory at home over Juventus FC, said:
“Amauri is a stratospheric player, extraordinary. Will he stay? You can never say never in this game. With this environment, anything is possible.”
Ghirardi eyes the upcoming summer transfer window as an ideal opportunity to land the Juve players. The winger is also
on a loan deal with the Crusaders since last summer window and has continued to impress the club officials. Giovinco also scored the winning goal in the fixture against his parent outfit, Juventus FC.
Juve, on the other hand, will not let go these two players easily as they are looking forward to bringing back the stars. The Old Lady have suffered from spells of inconsistency throughout the season and they are keen to change that in the upcoming season.
