Summer Vacation Spot?

Question

My family (dad, mom, and i) are going somewhere out of the U.S. on vacation for next summer, 2008 - 2009. We don't want to go into Canada, Russia, or the Caribbean. Can anybody recommend a good place to go and some activities there?
